NST has been at the forefront of social media since the beginning. In fact, NST created its first online community (the WD-40 Fan Club) in 2000 – well before social media was a household term. NST believes social media can be a powerful tool, particularly when paired with an integrated communications program and when based in strategy.

Through our proprietary social media planning process, we create tailored social media plans for clients. The process is an extension of our firm’s Compass branding process, which like a navigational compass, helps clients determine where they are now, where they want to go and how to get there. The process includes:

  • Internal assessment of the brand
  • External review of competitors and trends facing the industry
  • Listening via social media to determine the volume of online discussion, tone of the dialogue, influencers and dominant platforms for the brand or industry
  • A social media audit of existing brand-created social media platforms, if applicable

After completing these steps, we can create a custom plan to help your business reach its goals. NST’s social media practice includes social media planning, and strategy development and implementation, which may include social media brand monitoring and the creation and management of social networking profiles.
